US Patent No. 11,865,373 B2 (Tiffany Carle, David Gan, Michelle Hines); Mary Kay, Inc. has patented a method for treating acne in oily skin with a topically applied cosmetic. It is comprised of 1-3%, by weight, of an aqueous, alcoholic or aqueous-alcoholic extract from Cudrania pubescens, which reduces lipoxygenase activity in the skin.
